Looking for a salon will not be the first order of business for Eric Bledsoe in Milwaukee. Rather, it’ll be acclimating to a new environment that should suit his career better than the one he had with the Phoenix Suns.

Now a Milwaukee Bucks guard after getting traded by Phoenix for big man Greg Monroe and a pair of future draft picks, Bledsoe is expected to change the dynamics of the team, particularly on how the backcourt will shape up going forward. Bucks sophomore point guard Malcolm Brogdon was asked by Spencer Davies of Basketball Insiders about what he sees Bledsoe’s arrival to the team would affect his role going forward.

“You know at this point, you can’t be sure,” Brogdon told Basketball Insiders Tuesday of what the acquisition does for the team. “I think it’ll be a positive. Losing Moose [Monroe] is definitely a negative for us. He brought so much to the table for us, especially coming off the bench. He’s a starter that came off the bench.

“But you know, having another guard that can really create his own shot, get downhill and make plays—I think that will definitely help us.”

The former Virginia Cavalier has been enjoying a solid second season in the NBA, as Brogdon is averaging 15.5 points, 4.8 assists, and 1.9 rebounds per game.

It remains to be seen how well a backcourt tandem of Brogdon and Bledsoe would fare, but Tony Snell is likely going to be eased out of the starting rotation in favor of the Bucks’ shiny new weapon in the form of Bledsoe.

Before being banished to the doghouse and later traded by Phoenix general manager Ryan McDonough, Bledsoe was averaging 15.7 points and 3.0 assists per game for the Suns.
