Not many people expected the Milwaukee Bucks to be one of the best teams in the league coming into this season, much less finishing with the best record in the NBA and being one of the most dominant clubs in the history of the game.

But that is where the 2018-19 Bucks find themselves, as they have all but assured themselves of ending the year with the best record in the league, boasting a 58-20 mark with just four games remaining in the regular season.

And how about this: With their 131-121 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night, the Bucks became just the seventh team in NBA history to win 45 games by double figures, and all previous six teams that achieved that feat won the championship:

It has definitely been an interesting road for the Bucks, who finished seventh in the Eastern Conference last season and were bounced out of the first round of the playoffs by a Boston Celtics team that was missing Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward.

But here we are, nearly a year later, and Milwaukee appears to be a legitimate title threat, thanks mostly in part to the unbelievable efforts of star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is one of the leading candidates for the MVP award.

If the season ended today, Milwaukee would be facing the Miami Heat in the opening round of the postseason and would be faced with the prospect of a potential rematch against the Celtics in the second round, as Boston will end up slotting either fourth or fifth in the standings.
