Milwaukee Bucks general manager Jon Horst has signed a three-year contract extension with the franchise, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Horst has been the GM of the Bucks since 2017. He's a candidate for NBA Executive of the Year after building a Milwaukee team which had the best record in the league this season.

Horst made a bunch of great moves last summer and during the regular season. He signed center Brook Lopez, forward Ersan Ilyasova and guard Pat Connaughton to free-agent deals, hired Mike Budenholzer as head coach, and traded for point guard George Hill and stretch forward Nikola Mirotic during the regular season.

The Bucks won 60 games this season. They had the No. 1 seed in the East, but lost to the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals in six games.

The future in Milwaukee, though, is very bright. Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the league and has spoken openly about how he wants to spend his entire career with the Bucks. Horst does have some tough decisions to make this summer. Khris Middleton, Lopez and Mirotic will be unrestricted free agents, while guard Malcolm Brogdon will enter restricted free agency.

Horst would love to bring everybody back, but there may be some luxury tax concerns.
