Milwaukee Bucks veteran shooting guard Kyle Korver has missed eight consecutive games because of back soreness.

The Bucks initially thought Korver's back injury would be a short-term thing, but it has turned into a bigger issue than expected:

The Bucks don't have to rush Korver back since they have the best record in the NBA. Milwaukee needs the sharpshooter to be at 100 percent for the playoffs, not the end of the regular season.

One of the best shooters in NBA history, Korver has appeared in 47 games for the Bucks this season. He's averaging 6.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 41.8 percent from the field, 40.7 percent from beyond the arc and 83.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Korver is in his first season with the Bucks, who are 52-9 on the season. Milwaukee has already clinched a playoff spot. Korver is going to be a great weapon for the Bucks in the postseason. He has career playoff averages of 8.1 points on 39.1 percent shooting from the 3-point line.
