The Milwaukee Bucks could be well in their way to get back one of their most important contributors, as they have recalled Jabari Parker from G League affiliate Wisconsin Herd today, according to the team.

Parker has been sidelined the entire 2017-18 season since suffering a second ACL tear 51 games into last season. The former Duke Blue Devil is expected to make his debut the week prior to the start of All-Star Weekend, making this a clear sign of progress in his recovery.

The Bucks will be very careful with re-incorporating him into this new team, as this has been an area of utmost concern to the organization given his injury history.

The 22-year-old swingman averaged a career-high 20.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game last season before his injury, creating a dynamic one-two punch with teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Parker practiced yesterday with the Herd at the Froedtert and at the Medical College of Wisconsin Sports Science Center in Milwaukee, but he will have to get used to bigger and much more physical NBA competition and ultimately need to make the adjustment to playing increasing minutes if he hopes to be part of this playoff run.

The Bucks are 23-20 and hold the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference. Parker can prove to be the difference-maker to take them to the top four spots and secure a first-round home advantage.

A third-year power forward, Parker shot a strong 49 percent from the field and an improving 36.5 percent from deep last season. If he could come close to replicating those numbers, it will be only a matter of time before things are in the upswing for Milwaukee faithful.
