The Milwaukee Bucks are slated to sign point guard Xavier Munford after a shining performance in this year's AmeriCup with Team USA, according to international reporter David Pick.

The Bucks recently waived forward James Young, leaving them with an extra space to add to the roster prior to the Oct. 16, 15-man roster deadline.

Munford was the team's third-leading scorer with 10.2 points per game, displaying great resiliency coming off the bench for Jeff Van Gundy's team. The 25-year-old averaged 18.5 points, 5.3 assists and 4.7 rebounds for the Charlotte Hornets G League affiliate Greensboro Swarm this past season.

A 6-foot-3, 190-pound point guard, Munford's strengths are his natural court vision and ability to penetrate and find the open guy or finish in the lane. His three-point prowess has been put in question, which could make it even more difficult to crack the roster with Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon as the starter and Matthew Dellavedova, Gary Payton II, and AmeriCup teammate Kendall Marshall also in the roster.
