With Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Eric Bledsoe leading their charge, the Milwaukee Bucks have fortified a talented lineup that could cause problems to the title favorites this year. However, they may continue to be shorthanded for the next three months as there is growing belief that Mirza Teletovic will still need that much time to recover from his condition, as reported by Gery Woelfel of the Woelfel Press Box.

“But two sources close to the Bucks claim Teletovic won’t be returning anytime soon. They believe the 6-foot-9 forward will be sidelined for at least three more months – or until late in the regular season. At that point, it could be difficult for Teletovic to be in game shape for the playoffs, if the highly erratic Bucks would make them.”

If the speculations are true, it will be a huge blow to the Bucks as they are in need of outside shooters to compliment the game of The Greek Freak and opening up the lanes for him to attack the basket. That may leave their front office with no choice but to be active before the trade deadline to try to add some players who can help their cause.

The Bosnian international is currently recovering from blood clots found in his lungs, and has been on the shelf since last playing back in Nov. 7. It is still unclear when he’ll be able to return to action as his condition is a very tricky one and no exact timetable has been given by the Bucks yet.

Mirza Teletovic has only appeared in 10 games so far this season, and averaged 7.1 points, including 46.7 percent from beyond the arc, to go along with 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 15.9 minutes per game.
