When it comes to the development of Milwaukee Bucks second-year center Thon Maker, there doesn't seem to be anyone more passionate about it than legendary retired forward Kevin Garnett.

In an article written by Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the 15-time NBA All-Star was seen practicing drills with the 20-year-old center on Tuesday afternoon at the Milwaukee Bucks' downtown Sports Science Center.

“A lot of the stuff is, now, is more — especially with myself — him telling me to slow down a little bit,” Maker said. “Saying, ‘You have the speed, the quickness, so you can always go to it, but just slow it down a little bit, look at the defense, read it then attack.'”

Velazquez also posted a video to his Twitter account of Maker and Garnett running a drill in which Maker would run through the paint, turn to catch a pass and fire off a shot from the free throw line.

Maker stated that Garnett also did his own set of drills with Bucks forwards Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton.

“He mentioned (watching film) when we first got in here this morning with me and Giannis,” Maker said. “He was like, ‘I've been watching you guys. I've been watching this, I've been watching that, you've got to get rid of this, keep this, keep doing this.’ And you kind of think like, ‘OK, so he's spending time to watch you and try to come back with something to give you. Something positive or something to help your game with.’ It's big, it's pretty big. So you've got to concentrate, pay attention and go to work.”

Maker continues to be a very raw talent with a high ceiling. As the tenth overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, he is currently averaging 4.8 points and 3.1 rebounds in just 17.5 minutes of action per contest.
