It's no secret that the Milwaukee Bucks have been missing the services of All-Star swingman Khris Middleton. They did escape with a 110-107 win against the Boston Celtics in Game 5 to take a 3-2 series advantage, but there's no denying that they would love to get Middleton back as soon as possible.

The good news for Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks is that Middleton's return appears to be on the horizon. According to ESPN's NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Middleton is making good enough progress to potentially come back for the Eastern Conference Finals:

“There's been some speculation about the possibility of him returning in this series,” Woj said on a recent episode of NBA Countdown (h/t Scott Polacek of Bleacher Report). “He's listed out right now for Game 6. I'm told it's unlikely he plays Game 6 even Game 7—not fully been ruled out, although that's what it says on the injury report. But I'm told he's making very good progress. If the Bucks were to win this series, close out the Celtics, I think you could very much expect to see Khris Middleton back for the Bucks in the conference finals.”

The Bucks cannot get ahead of themselves here, though. The Celtics are no pushovers and Milwaukee must win one more game to secure a spot in the East Finals. Middleton appears to have already been ruled out for the remainder of the series, so the Bucks will need to navigate the rest of the way without him.
