The NBA has seen its share of brothers play in the NBA, but it's pretty rare that siblings get to play together. NBA audiences might get to see it happen if Chicago Bulls center Robin Lopez joins his brother Brook in Milwaukee. Per JB Baruelo of The Inquisitr, this is a scenario that could play out before the trade deadline this season.
Robin currently plays for one of the worst teams in the NBA in the Bulls. The team is only 10-33 and will more then likely be offloading some veterans in order to give some of their young players more time to develop. This will also lead to more losses, and therefore a higher chance of the No. 1 draft pick. Baruleo opines that the perfect trade partner is the Bucks, saying:
“Can’t help but notice that, just 90 miles south of Milwaukee, the Bulls have a backup big man who can be had at the deadline: Robin Lopez, Brook’s twin brother. It’s been 11 years since the two played together at Stanford, and over that span, they’ve had productive careers while also cultivating offbeat, entertaining and somewhat goofy personae. Robin would fit nicely with the Bucks. And don’t forget, it was only two years ago that he gave the Celtics fits in a first-round playoff series (12.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 65.4 percent shooting) that Chicago may have won had Rajon Rondo not been injured.”
The Bucks are short on big man depth and could use Robin for their stretch run. If the brothers are reunited, it'll be interesting to see how they fit together and if they will even see the floor at the same time.
