The NBA regular season is less than a week away from its end and with it is the coaching carousel that awaits in free agency, with reportedly up to 10 teams likely to hire new faces at the helm.

The Milwaukee Bucks are perhaps one of the most savory ones that most free-agent coaches are salivating to take a crack at in this offseason, but even some with a job could potentially seek it out.

According to Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal-Times, L.A. Clippers head coach Doc Rivers and Atlanta Hawks boss Mike Budenholzer could be two currently-employed coaches to take a shot at the position.

“Some NBA officials said Budenholzer, who guided the Hawks to 60 wins just three seasons ago when he was accorded NBA’s Coach of the Year honors, also doesn’t want to be part of an extensive rebuild in Atlanta.

As for Rivers, there has been persistent rumors he’ll be leaving the Clippers after the season. Rivers is still a beloved figure in Milwaukee after having been an All-American guard at Marquette University and would undoubtedly create a buzz as the Bucks move into a new arena next season.”

The thought of coaching a once-in-a-generation player like Giannis Antetokounmpo is enticing enough to want to take part on this hiring process and while Joe Prunty has been the interim for the latter part of the season, if he was the man to keep the job, the interim title would have been removed long ago.

The Bucks want a name, but most importantly a transparent relationship with the front office and the locker room after their repeated clashes with former coach Jason Kidd.
