The Milwaukee Bucks made a key choice this season by not extending or picking up a team-option on their second most valuable asset in Jabari Parker after the Duke product suffered his second ACL injury in his short tenure with the team.

According to Gery Woelfel of The Racine-Journal Times, who is close with Parker's family, the chances of the 23-year-old forward remaining with the team are “slim to none,” as he was really close to being traded before this year's trade deadline.

Parker is an exciting talent who has proven he can score at this level, though any team taking a chance on him will likely pay him less than market price for his services, due to the two major season-ending injuries he's suffered through his four years in the league — something that would prove a key bargaining chip for any franchise.

An athletic forward with length, shooting ability, and high basketball IQ, Parker was believed to reel in just as much as the likes of Aaron Gordon would in the offseason, but his injury history won't help his cause and the Bucks are unlikely to put up any resistance while trying to keep Eric Bledsoe and Khris Middleton before they become unrestricted free agents in 2019 and 2020, respectively.

Parker, despite saying all the right things, had a fallout with former coach Jason Kidd, who was rumored of being especially harsh on the high-scoring forward during his recovery — something that has also put a strain between him and the franchise.
