It appears that Andrew Bogut may find a home soon enough, and it could be with a familiar team.

Bogut, who was waived by the Los Angeles Lakers recently before his contract became fully guaranteed, is receiving some tepid interest from the Milwaukee Bucks, the team that drafted him No. 1 overall in 2005, per Gery Woelfel of Woelfel's Press Box.

I was told shortly after Bogut cleared waivers that at least two teams expressed interest in signing him. The Bucks weren’t one of those teams, although a Bucks official said Bucks general manger Jon Horst, along with his staff, have thoroughly discussed the pros and cons of signing Bogut.

Woelfel goes on to say that Bogut isn't expected to make a decision on what time he may want to go to until Wednesday.

Bogut can still help an NBA team with his rebounding, presence around the rim and passing. And he has stayed healthy this season, something he has struggled with in previous years.

While he did not average many points or minutes with the Lakers, he proved valuable in helping the young players adjust to the NBA and give advice when needed. If anything, Bogut can be brought in as a positive locker room presence who also provides some spot minutes for a good team.

Woelful makes the case that the Bucks could use Bogut for basketball reasons.

The Bucks have been in the market for a physical big man since they dealt Greg Monroe to the Phoenix Suns earlier this season, a trade that brought them starting point guard Eric Bledsoe.

A reunion between Bogut and the Bucks could make sense.
