Following a slow start to the season, the Milwaukee Bucks have climbed back into holding one of the better records in the Eastern Conference.

With the trade deadline being just under a month away, the Bucks appear to be in the market to add more frontcourt depth as Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times is reporting that there is some interest in acquiring Phoenix Suns veteran center Tyson Chandler.

Another center who has been mentioned in connection to the Bucks is Phoenix enter Tyson Chandler, who is a good friend of Bucks coach Jason Kidd.

The 35-year-old has proven to still be an effective player in his 17th season currently averaging 6.6 points on 62.6 percent shooting from the field with 9.7 rebounds in 25.8 minutes per contest while starting in all 31 games played. He is also coming off a season where his 11.5 rebounds were the most by any player in his 16th season or later in NBA history.

Although he isn't the player he once was, Chandler is still a premier rebounder and above-average defensive presence on the floor. His addition to the Bucks would provide them with another viable big man in the frontcourt that could help ease a bit of the rim protection duties from Giannis Antetokounmpo. It would also give them a much-needed veteran voice in the locker room that possesses much experience and championship pedigree.

Chandler is currently in the third year of his four-year, $52 million deal that includes no player or team options. He is set to make a combined $26.5 million over these last two years of his contract with $13.5 million for the 2018-19 season. Any possible acquisition of Chandler would likely result in the Bucks having to part ways with one of their young big men players to make room.

If Milwaukee is unable to acquire him, it is clear that the front office is in the market for some additional frontcourt presence.
