Consistent with an earlier report by Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Timers, the Milwaukee Bucks explored many options during the trade deadline, but ultimately kept forward Jabari Parker on the roster.

According to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, the Bucks will likely match offers coming for the star forward, but not necessarily making him a long-term player for the organization.

The Bucks won't be a team with much cap space, so retaining Parker's services would likely prove to be the smarter move for the short term, though they will have impending issues when it comes to keeping the likes or Eric Bledsoe and Khris Middleton, who will turn into unrestricted free agents in 2019 and 2020, respectively.

Parker has been relatively quiet since coming back into the fold after a second ACL surgery and recovery, averaging 11.8 points and 4.3 rebounds this season, reaching the 20-point mark for the first time this campaign during a loss to the L.A. Clippers on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old finally had his 25-minute restriction lifted, playing 30 minutes against the Clippers, yet several questions remain about his long-term health and his ability to complement this roster with Giannis Antetokounmpo's surge as a rising star of this franchise.

His destiny will be largely based on just how aggressive other teams are for his services, though he is expected to garner less compensation than other soon-to-be free agents at his position, like Aaron Gordon of the Orlando Magic.
