Brook Lopez of the Milwaukee Bucks received cheers from the home crowd after he dislodged the ball which was stuck on top of the backboard.

In the clip posted by NBA TV, notice how the referee called on Lopez to get the ball out of the backboard.  It was an easy task for the big man. Yet the crowd appreciated all of it.

Lopez was clearly delighted by the cheers. He savored every single second of it. Maybe because he's having one hell of a season so far. His numbers may be down but he's part of a team that's seen as some as a title contender. They entered the game with a 52-18 record for first in the NBA.

Lopez, for his part, is averaging 12.1 points per game on 45 percent shooting from the field, 4.6 rebounds, 1.1 rebounds across 28.4 minutes per night. And just over a week ago, Lopez became the first player in NBA history to knock down 100 3-pointers and record 100 blocks in one single season. This is just a testament to the 30-year-old's dedication to molding his game to today's standards.

So if you're wondering why Lopez celebrated so much in the clip above, it's because he's having one of the best seasons in his 11-year career.
