It was a clutch defensive play that helped Milwaukee to hold its lead and finish off the Celtics in a gritty game that concluded as a 98-97 Bucks victory. The Greek Freak's spectacular game wasn’t limited to just that block. He led his team in scoring with 30 points to go along with 13 rebounds, six assists, two blocks, and a steal. He was clearly the X-factor for Milwaukee in this game, as only three other Bucks players scored in the double digits.
Thursday was just another stop on the MVP campaign trail for Antetokounmpo. The season he has been having has launched him into the top echelon of elite players in the NBA, and he is one of the current favorites to take home the Most Valuable Player award at the end of the season. Through 54 games so far, Giannis is averaging 27.2 points, 12.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.4 blocks.
