If we go by the way Giannis Antetokounmpo threw down a monstrous slam dunk during the Milwaukee Bucks’ preseason match against the Utah Jazz, it appears he is more than eager to get the NBA season started.

It was an impressive showcase of athleticism from the reigning MVP. What’s all the more impressive is that he did this during preseason where none of the games even mattered.

The dunk he showcased was a powerful one that easily rocked the ring and the thousands of Bucks fans who came out to the Fiserv Forum to watch him play good basketball. It was such a ferocious jam that he lost his balance on the way down.

The thing that probably makes this all the more impressive, though, is the fact that he came from the other side of the court to dunk that. He was busy double-teaming a Jazz big man under the rim when his team managed to snatch the ball. It only took him less than five seconds to cover the entire court’s length with his massive strides.

However, the dunk didn’t betray expectations. Giannis came out to say that he was going to play this game as if it was already the regular season. This dunk was just him being true to his word.

The Bucks are considered one of the big favorites to make the NBA Finals from the Eastern Conference. Giannis has the supporting cast to help him play at his best. And with the way he’s been playing with purpose lately, there’s no question that his team is one to watch when the 2019-20 campaign finally begins in earnest.
