In an interview with NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay, Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh discussed his thoughts when he went up against Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the regular season.

“My job was to piss Aaron Rodgers off and win that game… At the end of the day, I’m going to always want to piss off Aaron and make him not want to be my friend on the football field,” Suh said in the interview.

The Buccaneers won that encounter 38-10 and Suh notched one sack. These two teams would meet each other again, this time in the NFC Championship game. After the game, Suh remarked that he briefly got to talk to Rodgers about reconnecting during the offseason.

Suh and Rodgers go way back. The defensive lineman used to play for the Detroit Lions, which, like Green Bay, was in the NFC North. During one of their many matchups, Suh stepped on Rodgers' calf, although he claimed that playing conditions were so cold that he did not feel Rodgers' leg.

Towards the end of the interview, Suh remarked that Rodgers was his favorite quarterback to sack.

Suh is an unrestricted free agent next season, so we will have to wait and see if he will face off against Rodgers once again. He would like to return to Tampa Bay, although it's very possible he looks to cash in one more time somewhere else or suit up for another contender. Suh has had stops with the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Rams.
