The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without star quarterback Jameis Winston for the first three games of the 2018 NFL season. Winston has been suspended by the NFL due to an off-the-field incident between the Florida State product and a female Uber driver.

The suspension has created a lot of speculation about Winston's future with the Bucs and in the NFL for that matter. Winston is no stranger to off-the-field issues and Tampa Bay may finally be ready to move one. The team expressed disappointment in Winston's actions, but his teammate DeSean Jackson is in full support of his quarterback, via TMZ Sports.

“All the time, man,” Jackson said. “You got to, homie. You can't turn your back on someone when they're going through something.”

Jackson was also asked whether the Bucs fans should give him another chance after the latest incident and suspension set to be served to start the 2018 campaign.

“Yeah, I would,” Jackson said. “It's a tough situation. Me personally, he's a good dude. He's a good teammate. If it was on me, I would.”

The veteran wideout also believes the Bucs shouldn't part ways with Winston.

“That's passed my decision, bro,” Jackson said on if the Bucs should cut Winston. “I can't speak on that. I wish they don't, though.”

At this point, it seems unclear what the Bucs' long-term plans are with their star gunslinger. Matters may be different if the team was living up to expectations, but last season's performance was forgettable, to say the least.
