The Tampa Bay Buccaneers improved to 2-1 this season after edging the New York Giants last Sunday with a tight 25-23 win. Jameis Winston did a solid job of throwing the ball around passing for 332 yards and three touchdowns without an interception on 22-of-38 completions in the Bucs' victory.

The Bucs got a win, so everyone on the team should be delighted, right? Well, at least one isn’t, as Tampa Bay wide receiver DeSean Jackson was reportedly unhappy with the fact that he only made two catches on six targets in that game.

Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter understand why Jackson is frustrated and knows that the solution to it is the same to that of other wailing wide receivers:  more attention. In an interview with Jenna Laine of ESPN, Koetter tried to console Jackson’s feelings.

“DeSean should be frustrated because DeSean is an elite player in this league and we didn't get him the ball.”

In three games this season, Jackson has nine receptions, 143 receiving yards, and a touchdown. At this point in his career, Jackson, 30, no longer enjoys No. 1 wide receiver status on the team, especially with a young stud in Mike Evans being Winston’s top option downfield, but the 10-year veteran is still capable of making plays.

Jackson was signed over the offseason by the Bucs to a three-year, $33.5 million contract.

We’ll get to know this Thursday whether Winston will give Jackson an increased amount of attention, as they go up against the soft defense of the New England Patriots.
