The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are about to finish their 11th consecutive season of missing the playoffs and third straight in as many years under head coach Dirk Koetter.

This has seemingly put Koetter's job on the hot seat with the offseason just around the corner. With that in mind, he may have dropped a hint that he could be on his way out as he had a cryptic sign off from a recent radio interview, according to Rick Stroud of The Tampa Times.

Koetter may already see the writing on the wall as the Buccaneers haven't taken any progressive steps forward with him at the helm over the last three seasons. The team hasn't won more than nine games in any campaign while finishing under the .500 mark in each of the last two campaigns.

What has made matters worse is that quarterback Jameis Winston hasn't made any progress into developing into a bonafide franchise cornerstone at the position. Instead, it has been more of the same for them, always finishing below expectations with underwhelming performances seemingly every week. Simply put, many of the team's problems prior to Koetter's arrival in Tampa Bay continue to persist.

This may just be an opportunity for Koetter to finish on a high note to his tenure with the Buccaneers. This may see Tampa Bay quickly move toward moving on from him on the Monday after the season finale that has typically been the day that these types of firings are made around the league.
