The Chicago Bulls have started the season hot with their new additions playing pivotal roles. One player who hasn't played yet due to injury is young guard Coby White. Even when White returns, the Bulls have a surplus at the guard position and could use him in a trade.

In the offseason, Chicago acquired guards Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso, who have been a big part of the rotation. They also recently lost their defensive wing Patrick Williams, who could be out for the rest of the season. With White fighting for minutes and lacking depth at wing, they should look into trading him.

With that said, here are three reasons why the Bulls must trade Coby White.

Bulls, NBA offseason

3. White isn't a great fit

Although White is a rising young player, his game isn't a great fit for the new-look Bulls. Billy Donovan has done a great job incorporating DeMar DeRozan, Ball, and Caruso with Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic. Last season, White averaged 15.1 points per game along with 4.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists.

He also shot an efficient 41.6 percent from the field and 35.9 percent from three. He is a scoring guard that doesn't fit well alongside the rest of Chicago's offense. White could benefit another team with his scoring ability, and the Bulls should trade him elsewhere.

2. Bulls need a wing

With Patrick Williams potentially missing the rest of the season, the Bulls lack depth at the wing position. Javonte Green has slid into the starting lineup, who serves better as a backup player. Chicago has an incredible roster and could potentially make a deep playoff run.

Adding a defensive wing could help the Bulls take a jump to a real contender in the Eastern Conference. Williams was primed to have a significant role for them as the lockdown wing defender. White will have good trade value as a growing young scorer, and Chicago could acquire a wing in return.

1. Bulls have a ton of guard depth

The Bulls have one of the best backcourts in the entire NBA. They have LaVine and Ball as the starting guards, who are a dynamic backcourt, with Caruso as the primary backup. Caruso has been a key contributor to Billy Donovan's team, as he is often in the closing lineup.

These three guards have created an outstanding balance of scoring, playmaking, and defense. This season, Ball is averaging 12.4 points per game while shooting a career-high 40.7 percent from three. Although it is a small sample size, Ball looks confident with his jump shot and could be a consistent three-point shooter.

LaVine has also started off the season strong, averaging 25.8 points per game on solid efficiency. The Bulls have been aggressive building around him the past two seasons after being a stagnant team.

Caruso has been one of the great additions, averaging 8 points per game along with 1.9 steals. He has also been a great three-point shooter at 41.2 percent.

The Bulls won't have many minutes available for White when he returns, and a trade to another team makes the most sense.

Whether or not Chicago moves on from White, they should make it to the playoffs for the first time since 2017. However, they could become a title contender if they can pull off a trade for a defensive wing. The Bulls don't have a superstar, but rather a balanced team with multiple stars and rising talent.

They should make a deep playoff run and bring excitement for basketball back to Chicago.
