It was an unprecedented offseason for the Chicago Bulls with their 2019-2020 season ending abruptly in March. Last month, newly hired executive vice president Arturas Karnisovas fired head coach Jim Boylen after just two season. The Bulls opted to replace him with former Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan to lead the team moving forward. But with all the changes and everything going on, Bulls superstar Zach LaVine says it's looking well and good so far his squad.

“Guys are working. Happy to be in the gym. From what I've seen it's been a really positive vibe getting into the gym, and we haven't felt that in a long time,” LaVine said (per NBC Chicago). “I think it's just us being away from each other and being away from the game so when we finally got together again it's been a lot of fun, positive vibes, positive energy.”

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Zach LaVine mentioned members of the Bulls organization who were chosen to participate in the voluntary group workouts were required to go through a 36-hour quarantine period. But once they got off their individual quarantines, the Bulls were off to working out and playing basketball again after a 6-month long hiatus.

Given how good he's been playing, LaVine was probably the first one out of the gym. The 25-year old was having a career year before the season was suddenly halted as the global pandemic hit the US. LaVine was averaging a career-best of 25.5 points per game in 34.8 minutes in 60 games for Chicago this year.

With a new coach and a handful of superstars coming back from their respective injuries, look for the Bulls to storm the upcoming 2020-2021 season hungry to make it back to the playoffs.
