Chicago Bulls forward Bobby Portis didn't take Jodie Meeks' post-game comments fly under the radar after the forward clotheslined Washington Wizards point guard Tomas Satoransky while airborne in a play that earned him an ejection for a Flagrant 2 foul.

Satoransky's body went horizontal as soon as Portis made contact with him, attempting to block the shot — an act that after the review was deemed to be unsportsmanlike.

Meeks then stated his opinion after the game, telling Cody Westerlund of The Score:

“If a guy has a clear lane to the basket, if you can’t get there, let him go, don’t try to take him out. Obviously, not everybody abides by those rules.”

Portis was clearly bothered by his take and took his anger out via Twitter.

Meeks wasn't the only Wizard with that opinion, as Satoransky himself watched the replay and said that he was surprised at the lack of empathy after he suffered a crushing fall.

“I don't think he just tried to play the ball. From what I saw and what I know about the game, you don't go for the block like that,” Satoransky said, according to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post. “He got me first on the hand and then on the ball, then I fell back badly.”

“I don’t think he wanted me to fall like that but he just showed he didn’t even care after the play. So, it’s tough for me to say. It’s part of the game.”

Portis has been known for his bad temper and sometimes for his reckless play. This particular outing won't do wonders for helping his reputation as one of the loose cannons of this league.
