The Chicago Bulls are fast becoming the most surprising team this season, thanks to a win streak that few people thought this group was capable of doing after seeing how the team played early this season.

The Bulls are currently on a six-game win streak and the impetus of their last success seems to be the return of power forward Nikola Mirotic.

Since Mirotic returned to the court after missing the team’s first 23 games of the season to recover from facial injuries he got from an altercation with teammate Bobby Portis in practice, the Bulls have gone undefeated, winning all of their past six games. With the Bulls apparently playing with harmony these days, it could be easy to conclude that the animosity between Mirotic and Portis has completely evaporated.

Well, not really. While the two could be seen talking on the court, they don’t do it when they’re off of it, per Jack Maloney of CBS Sports.

When asked if the two former combatants have spoken yet, Mirotic said, “We did on the floor. We've always spoken because we need to have good communication.” As for whether they've talked off the floor, however, Mirotic was succinct in his response: “No.”

Bobby Portis had a friendlier tone in his response, saying that he's happy to see Nikola Mirotic back on the court and helping a suddenly feisty Bulls squad.

“Me and Niko, we don't really care about that situation anymore. Everything's for the team,” Portis told reporters. “We're professionals, we're basketball players. This is our job. Ultimately, we have to come in every day, put our shoes on like everybody else puts their shoes on, and play together, and find a way to make it work. I feel like we've done that up until that point.”

The Bulls could care less about the off-court relationship between Mirotic and Portis so long as the two players don’t damage their play on the court.
