On Thursday night, Chicago Bulls star shooting guard Zach LaVine was forced to call police after a crazed fan refused to get off his property. LaVine was apparently home when the woman arrived, demanding to talk with him, per TMZ Sports.
We're told Zach did not know the woman — but she had traveled from another state demanding to have a conversation with the young superstar.
When asked to leave the property, we're told the woman refused — so cops were called.
Once help arrived, we're told officers took her to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation — she was not formally arrested and has not been charged with a crime.
Fame is a strange thing, as it's something a lot of people want, but don't realize some of the potential dangers that come along with it. LaVine is lucky this person didn't anything to harm herself, or him, during this incident, as it could have been much more serious.
A very weird encounter for the Bulls star player. He's been having a big year, averaging 28.7 points, 5.1 assists, and 5.2 rebounds, all of which are career highs. His efforts have been recognized this season, as he was recently named to the NBA All-Star team for the first time in his career.
The former dunk contest champion has improved his play throughout the years, going from an electrifying dunker to a legitimate star in the NBA. Being only 25 years old, we should be seeing plenty of Zach LaVine highlights for years to come as we are only at the tip of the iceberg of his career.
