Chicago Bulls star guard Zach LaVine suffered a knee injury during last week's loss to the Golden State Warriors. It was a scare for Bulls fans, though fortunately, an update after the game revealed that LaVine wasn't believed to be dealing with anything serious. Recently, the Bulls said that LaVine wouldn't accompany them on their road trip, though head coach Billy Donovan told reporters that the star has “responded well” and had been doing weight training. The latest LaVine knee injury update from Donovan is even more encouraging for the Bulls and their fans.

ESPN NBA reporter Jamal Collier reports that Bulls head coach Billy Donovan doesn't have an exact return date in mind, but that Bulls star Zach LaVine could return from his knee injury sometime towards the middle, or end of next week. That is an exciting update for the Bulls and their fans.

It's not surprising that LaVine is still a week or so out from a return, as he had been unable to do any explosive basketball activities. The Bulls star was limited to shooting free throws and weight training. The next step will be getting LaVine out on the court, which should likely happen this weekend or early next week.

The UCLA product has been excellent this season, as he has averaged 24.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game while shooting 49.1 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from beyond the arc.

Judging by the recent Zach LaVine knee injury update from Billy Donovan, Chicago will have their star guard back in the lineup soon.
