The Chicago Bulls are listing rookie point guard Coby White as questionable to face the New York Knicks on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

White tweaked his back before Thursday’s practice and didn’t participate. He hasn't missed a game all season for the Bulls.

White is currently playing the best basketball of his rookie season, as the youngster is the first rookie in NBA history to score 30-plus points in three consecutive games coming off the bench.

The Bulls didn’t draft White with the seventh overall pick to be a bench player. Eventually, Chicago will hand the keys to the offense to the youngster and let him run the show. It just won’t happen this season.

The Bulls have been starting veteran Tomas Satoransky this 2019-20 at the point guard spot. With that said, it is unlikely for White to start a single game unless Satoransky joins defensive stopper Kris Dunn on the shelf.

Coby White is averaging 12.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game on the season. He’s shooting 38.7 percent from the field, 35.6 percent from beyond the arc and 77.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The Bulls are 20-39 so far, 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings. However, they are still kind of alive in the playoff picture since the back half of the East is so poor.
