Chicago Bulls guard Coby White has been relegated to the bench for the first time this season. But rather than fret about it, White seems at ease with his new role.

Per KC Johnson of NBCS Chicago, White isn't bothered about being relegated to the second unit after being the Bulls' starting point guard.

Tomas Satoransky took White's place against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, but he didn't view his new role as getting ahead of the competition. He just wants to win and would love to embrace any type of role to achieve this goal.

Prior to their game against the Raptors, White had started all 36 games for the Bulls. First-year Bulls coach Billy Donovan had developed a liking for White at the starting PG spot. So his recent move came as a surprise to most Bulls fans. After their 119-95 victory over the Raptors, Donovan showed his gratitude to White as well as Wendell Carter Jr. for accepting their new role as relievers (via ESPN).

“I really appreciate Coby and Wendell making sacrifices for the team. It’s not like those guys are out of the rotation or not important pieces of the team. It’s more about trying to get a consistent combination through 48 minutes.”

In 27 minutes of action, Coby White had 13 points, four rebounds, and five assists. He also had a net rating of +24, which was a team-high. Donovan might need a few more games to see if his new move would work. But the first test on Sunday already spoke volumes.
