Phoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton may have gotten the better of Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine in their players-only NBA 2K league match-up, but he acknowledged that the latter's 2K character is way more “overpowered” than his.

The 13th-seed Ayton used the Houston Rockets and edged the 10th seed LaVine's Miami Heat in their first-round match-up on Friday.

Shortly after the virtual match, the 21-year-old slot man gushed over the Bulls guard's in-game persona.

“Bro, you’re OP in the game. You got your own dunk package, your own jumpshot animation, crossover animation, you got everything bro,” Ayton said.

DeAndre Ayton does have a point, considering LaVine has an overall rating of 85 in the game. His massive improvements in real life were captured on 2K20, along with his vast repertoire of flashy moves.

Ayton, meanwhile, is just on his second year in the league and also has the same rating as LaVine.

He schooled LaVine from the get-go and cruised to an easy win.  The two-time Slamdunk Champion was hilariously even asking some of the game's controls as their match went on.

Still, LaVine said he was proud of his performance despite last playing NBA 2K back in 2014.

“I did better than I thought I was going to do for the first time playing in a while, though,” he said.

The 25-year-old Bulls high-leaper also bared his support for Ayton for the rest of the tournament.

“You got the best of me this game, I'll give you that. I hope you take it all the way, man. I'm rooting for you to win this.”

Ayton advances to the next round and will take on the winner of the Trae Young (2) versus Harrison Barnes (15) match-up.
