The Brooklyn Nets handed the Chicago Bulls a harsh reality check on Wednesday night, but star guard DeMar DeRozan doesn't want his team to think too much about it.

What's done is done, and so it is no longer about how they lost. For DeRozan, the Bulls need to focus on bouncing back after their rather disappointing showing at home

“We got our ass kicked tonight. It’s how we bounce back,” DeRozan said of the Bulls' shocking 138-112 blowout loss to the Nets, per Rob Schaefer of NBC Sports.

It certainly wasn't a good look for the Bulls, who have high hopes of actually competing for the title after their hot start to the season. The team remains the No. 1 seed in the East with a 27-12 record, but the loss to the Nets is a huge blow given that they both play in the same conference and are competing for the top seed.

The defeat surely serves as a reminder that their path to the playoffs and Finals won't be easy given the talent in the East–it's not like they expected it, though.

As DeMar DeRozan said, however, the Bulls need to show they can bounce back from such tough defeat. Chicago has only lost two straight games twice this season, so they surely have a good history when it comes to overcoming frustrating losses.

The Bulls will play the Golden State Warriors next before taking on the Boston Celtics, so those are certainly good tests to show what they can do.
