While the addition of DeMar DeRozan brings a new dynamic to the Chicago Bulls' offense, there are some concerns whether he will be a good fit alongside Zach LaVine, Lonzo Ball, Nikola Vucevic and the rest of the roster.

However, it seems DeRozan couldn't care less on the questions about his fit with the Bulls, highlighting that having a winning mentality is more important in developing chemistry over style of play.

“I mean, it's basketball. You know, a lot of people I see criticize and talk about ‘fit this, fit that' probably never even played basketball. Being a basketball player, you go out and play at the park. Some of your best teams is against guys you don't even know, that you go out and compete with,” DeRozan explained, per KC Johnson of NBC Sports.

“For me, if everybody is on the same page and mentality and wants to win, it doesn't matter about a fit. Because it's all going to come together how it needs to come together and make it work because at the end of the day, the common denominator is winning. If you have that mentality going into it, everything will be figured out in the process. That's where chemistry is built.”

The Bulls undoubtedly improved a lot in free agency with the addition of DeMar DeRozan and Lonzo Ball. Not to mention that they added more guard depth with Alex Caruso now in the fold.

A lineup with DeRozan and Ball alongside Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic is certainly scary. Imagine Zo handling the playmaking duties, LaVine scoring all-around, Vucevic manning the paint and DeMar making damage on the mid-range.

Moreover, DeRozan's on-ball creation is certainly a factor that could very well bring balance on the offense.

However, as usual, there are sometimes disparities on what we see on paper and in actual games. With that said, the Bulls still have the challenge of making every part of the team function as one and their “fit” together is definitely something to keep an eye on when the 2021-22 season begins.
