On Saturday night, former Chicago Bulls legend and Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in California.

According to an article published by Dakin Andone and Sheena Jones of CNN, Rodman was initially pulled over by police officers in Huntington Beach on Saturday night for a traffic violation and then agreed to a breathalyzer test administered by Newport Beach police Lieutenant Rachel Johnson.

After Rodman failed the breathalyzer test, he was placed under arrest and got booked into jail at around 11:00 p.m. PT. He was released about seven hours later once he was deemed sober enough, the report says. Lieutenant Johnson said Rodman was completely cooperative throughout the entire process.

Rodman's longtime agent, Darren Prince, issued a statement to CNN on Sunday regarding the five-time NBA champion's struggle with alcoholism.

“He's been dealing with some major personal issues the last month and I know it's time he checks back into a rehab center to work through them,” Prince said. “We ask for his fans and others to pray for him because he's such a great person when he's sober and deserves to be happy with all the joy he gave his fans when he played in the NBA. Now it's time for him to rebound in life.”

Rodman, who has been arrested for drunk driving before back in 1999 and 2004, also entered a rehabilitation facility back in January 2014. Hopefully, this is a major wakeup call for Rodman and he is indeed able to turn his life around for the better once he gets the help he needs.
