Dwyane Wade has yet to reach out to the Chicago Bulls asking for a buyout, and while the start of the season is crawling closer each day, there is a reason for his madness.

According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun Times, it is Wade who is patiently waiting for the Bulls brawn to approach him first with a decent monetary proposition to make it worth his while.

As Wade said previously, he had $24 million reasons to opt into the last year of his contract — and he won't be so willing to let go of most of it just to hook up with a potential contender.

The Bulls are expected to want to take back a large chunk of the $23.8 million he is owed, but that won't come without some resistance from Wade and his agent Henry Thomas, who will look to put his client in the best position to maximize his earnings and further his career in this late stage at 35 years old.

Wade is the only player keeping Zach LaVine from a clear starter spot, and even if he were to cede the position, the minutes conflict would be yet another nightmare that the franchise doesn't need to start out a rebuild.

The amount that the Chicago native would find reasonable is unknown, but note that he is unlikely to garner more than a two- or three-year contract with a team option from any team that he chooses to join due to his age and injury history.
