After months of speculation, the New York Knicks finally traded Carmelo Anthony to the Oklahoma City Thunder. In exchange, the Knicks received Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott, and a 2018 second round draft pick via the Chicago Bulls.

Dwyane Wade, who himself faces an uncertain future with the Bulls heading into training camp, expressed his happiness for one of his brothers on Twitter:

As Anthony has a better chance of competing for a championship with Russell Westbrook and Paul George, Wade is hoping for the same at this stage of his career. After just one season with his hometown team, the Bulls traded Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves, which signaled the start of a rebuilding process.

Should Wade ultimately get bought out by the Bulls, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Miami Heat are reportedly potential destinations. With the Thunder forming a Big Three of their own, it will be interesting to see if they become a landing spot for the 35-year-old.

As numerous All-Stars have joined the Western Conference during the offseason, it appears they are all chasing the defending champion Golden State Warriors. Along with the Thunder, the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs will try their best to dethrone the Warriors.
