When Jimmy Butler was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves on draft night, many already speculated that Dwyane Wade might be next or he reach a buyout with the Chicago Bulls, as they were clearly heading to rebuild mode with young players. Now that it has come to fruition, the 12-time All-Star guard looked back recently on the deal that sent his good friend to the Western Conference team.

Wade answered a lot of questions on people's minds on what he truly felt about it. He made it known that he was not aware of what his former team really wanted to do with Butler, however, he also added that he has no ill feelings towards the Bulls and their front office.

Now that Wade is a free agent once again, and is still slated to receive a huge portion of his salary with the Bulls, he can sign with whichever team pursues him. However, being the veteran that he is, it can be expected that he will take his time, and see where he fits best. The only thing that may not be to his advantage is that training camps will be starting soon, and if he delays his decision, it could affect his familiarity with his new team's sets.

The former Finals MVP will turn 36 years old by January, and is clearly past his prime. But he could still be an important signing for any team who is looking for a proven veteran, who can still produce elite numbers from time to time. It could also be the best thing that could happen to Dwyane Wade's career at this point, as he can put any issues he had with the Bulls all in the past now, including being kept in the dark during Jimmy Butler's trade.
