Gar Forman's time as general manager of the Chicago Bulls could be coming to an end soon.

Owner Jerry Reinsdorf is beginning to turn his attention to the job security of Forman, who has been with the team since 2009.

Forman has never had a good relationship with his players, and he reportedly acted aloof toward a handful of former Chicago players when the Bulls honored Luol Deng during a game against the Detroit Pistons.

Besides the Hoiberg issue, an ongoing mistrust between Bulls players and Forman, and a rebuild that still isn’t paying off in its third year, a source said Forman acted aloof toward a handful of former Bulls players in attendance last week when the team honored two-time All-Star forward Luol Deng, who retired last month.

Chicago was expected to compete for a playoff spot this season. Instead, they have been playing inconsistent basketball and head coach Jim Boylen doesn’t appear to know what he’s doing.

Ahead of Friday's matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers, Chicago is 6-13 on the season, 12th in the Eastern Conference standings.

Bulls fans have been calling for Forman and VP John Paxson’s jobs for years. The famous “FireGarPax” mantra in Chicago may finally be coming to fruition, at least for Forman.
