On Monday night at the United Center, the Chicago Bulls (6-20) pulled off a big upset when they routed the Boston Celtics (23-6) by a score of 108-85. Yes, the undermanned Celtics didn't have point guard Kyrie Irving or power forward Marcus Morris due to injuries, but it should be a great confidence booster for the Bulls after they won their third straight game.

According to a tweet from ESPN Stats & Info, the Bulls managed to do something that has never been done before for a team that has played at least 25 games into the season. In fact, this marks the first time in NBA history that a team that entered with less than a .200 winning percentage won by at least 20 points against a team with a winning percentage of .800 or greater.

The Bulls were spearheaded on the night by power forwards Nikola Mirotic and Bobby Portis. Mirotic led all scorers with 24 points and eight rebounds, while Portis had a career-high 23 points and nabbed four boards.

It's pretty evident that Portis' serious physical altercation in mid-October with Mirotic is a thing of the distant past.

This was also the first time that the power forward duo of Nikola Mirotic and Bobby Portis led the Bulls in scoring, as posted to Twitter by ESPN Stats & Info.

Obviously, that factoid doesn't hold much significance, but it's still worth mentioning given the history between these two players.

Since Nikola Mirotic returned from his facial fracture, the Bulls have gone a perfect 3-0. Chicago will look to win their fourth straight game on Wednesday night when they host the Denver Nuggets.
