Chicago Bulls head coach Jim Boylen has made it clear that he is way more focused on coaching the team than he is on making personnel decisions.

The Bulls have had one of the most noteworthy starts to the NBA season, and that's putting it lightly given all the turmoil surrounding the franchise.

After firing former head coach Fred Hoiberg, the team's front office turned to Jim Boylen who hasn't exactly faced the smoothest transition.

However, the new man in charge on the sidelines is completely focused on the on-court decisions and isn't worrying about what roster moves need to be made.

“I’m going to coach our team the best I can,’’ Boylen told Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times when asked if having a say in personnel was important to him. “John and Gar know and Michael [Reinsdorf] and Jerry [Reinsdorf] know that I’ll support in any way I can, in any decision they need me to.”

“The job they’ve given me is to coach the team and to try to get our guys compete every night. I’m trying to do that the best I can.”

The Bulls now sit at 8-25 on the season after Friday night's 90-80 win over the Orlando Magic, which marked just the third win for Chicago since Thanksgiving.

Now, Boylen's squad turns their attention to a matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.

Obviously, given all the recent struggles, Boylen would love to see his team pick up a much-needed win before the Christmas break.
