As expected, Chicago Bulls head coach Jim Boylen has confirmed that his starting lineup in 2019-20 will be Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine, Otto Porter Jr., Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr.

After the Bulls acquired Porter from the Washington Wizards, this was the group which started for Boylen. Chicago went 7-8 with Porter in the lineup.

The Bulls drafted North Carolina point guard Coby White with the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. White is expected to push Dunn in training camp and preseason play, but Dunn was always going to be the starter. Chicago, though, could look to trade Dunn during the season if they see his market value rise. Dunn averaged 11.3 points and 6.0 assists in 2018-19.

LaVine, Porter and Markkanen are the three players Bulls fans can't wait to watch play next season. LaVine averaged 23.7 points this past season, Porter put up 17.5 points in 15 games with the team, while Markkanen posted 18.7 points and 9.0 rebounds.

Carter underwent core muscle surgery on Tuesday. The lefty averaged 10.3 points and 7.0 rebounds during his rookie season. Carter also had surgery on his thumb, which is why he only played in 44 games in 2018-19.

If the Bulls can stay healthy, and that's a big if, they should be able to compete for that eighth seed in the East.
