Cheer up Chicago Bulls fans. Even though it looks like the Bulls are going to miss the playoffs again, head coach Jim Boylen told reporters on Saturday that rookie point guard Coby White could enter the starting lineup soon.

Bulls fans have been dying to see White in the starting lineup, especially after his magical February run when he won Rookie of the Month:

White is the first rookie in NBA history to score 30-plus points in three consecutive games coming off the bench. The Bulls didn’t draft White with the seventh overall pick to be a bench player. Eventually, Chicago will hand the keys to the offense to the youngster and let him run the show.

White is averaging 13.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game on the season. He’s shooting 39.4 percent from the field, 35.6 percent from beyond the arc and 79.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Bulls are 21-42 so far on the season, 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings. However, they are still kind of alive in the playoff picture since the back half of the East is so poor.

Chicago lost to the Indiana Pacers on Friday at home. The Bulls are back in action on Sunday when they take on the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center:
