After another DNP, Chicago Bulls head coach Jim Boylen is not certain of the future of Jabari Parker.

Per Cody Westerlund of The 670 Score, Boylen shared his thoughts on the 23-year-old's future activity:

The Bulls' 112-84 blowout loss to the Orlando Magic was Parker's ninth straight game without action, though a few of those games he was sick. The 2014 second overall pick has been demoted out of the rotation, and it doesn't look like he'll be getting playing time in the near future.

Parker is averaging pretty decent numbers: 15.2 points per game, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. But a closer look at his game reveals that he's lacking effort on the defensive end, which is one of the reasons for his demotion. K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune asked Parker about the several instances of him casually jogging back after a turnover:

“I’m not perfect, right?” he said. “The game is about minimizing mistakes. Guys get back-cut. Guys get a certain amount of points scored on them. But it’s not the end of the world. I’ve improved on all facets. You can’t just point out a few mistakes and say, ‘Hey, you got to sit out.’ That’s not the game because I offer so much to it.

It's hard to tell what the future holds for Jabari Parker, especially since Jim Boylen didn't give a concrete answer. There have also been a ton of trade rumors involving the 23-year-old, which further casts a dark shadow on his future. But based on his insights, it's pretty clear that he wants to play, is aware of his mistakes, and wants to improve.
