Chicago Bulls head coach Jim Boylen says shooting guard Zach LaVine is not a selfish player by any means, using Wednesday night's showdown with the Minnesota Timberwolves as a prime example as to why the 23-year-old is a team-first guy.

Jim Boylen brought Zach LaVine off the bench against the Timberwolves. It was LaVine's first game back since he suffered an ankle injury which forced him to miss five games, so Boylen wanted to ease the high-flyer back into action.

Boylen says a lot of guys in LaVine's position could have complained, but his guy didn't. The Bulls' head coach also pointed to what LaVine did when he first came into the game.

The Bulls take on the Washington Wizards on Friday and LaVine will return to the starting lineup. LaVine leads the Bulls in scoring and field goal attempts per game.

Chicago enters their matchup versus Washington with a record of 9-26.

On the year, LaVine is averaging 23.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game while shooting 45.5 percent overall, 33.1 percent from beyond the arc and 86.3 percent from the free-throw line. The two-time Slam Dunk Champion has played in 29 games this year, and there have only been six games this season where he hasn't scored at least 20 points.
