Current Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler started his career with the Chicago Bulls after being selected with the last pick of the first round of the 2011 draft.

From sitting on the end of the bench as a rookie to making his first All-Star appearance as a Bull in his fourth season, Butler is one of the best players to come through Chicago in the last decade.

In six seasons in Chicago, the former Marquette star averaged 15.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game while being named to the NBA's All-Defensive team for three straight seasons between 2014 and 2016.

After stops in Minnesota and Philadelphia, Butler is now thriving as the leader of a Miami Heat team that has been one of the brightest surprises of this season.

However, despite Butler's success with his new team, the five-time All-Star stated that a return to Chicago is a ‘definite possibility' later in his career per 670TheScore's Cody Westerlund.

At the break, the Butler-led Heat are 35-19 and sit comfortably in the Eastern Conference's fourth spot.

As for Butler himself, the 6-foot-7 wing is averaging 20.6 points, a career-high 6.8 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game while shooting 45.7 percent from the field and 24.8 percent from deep.

Jimmy Butler was selected as a 2020 NBA All-Star and is in Chicago for the weekend festivities and Sunday's All-Star game. Butler was selected by Team Giannis and will compete alongside his Miami teammate Bam Adebayo who will be making his first All-Star appearance.
