Chicago Bulls vice president John Paxson is yet again using Derrick Rose's 2012 ACL injury as an excuse as to why the Bulls are in the position they are in.

The Bulls are 10-18 on the season, 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings. Chicago is in year three of the rebuild after trading Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the summer of 2017.

Before Rose tore his ACL in Game 1 of the 2012 playoffs against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Bulls were title contenders and had one of the best players in the league leading the franchise.

While Chicago was able to make it to the second round of the playoffs in 2015 with Rose, Butler, Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol leading the way, the Bulls never got over the hump. The Rose era in Chicago ended when the team traded the former MVP to the New York Knicks in 2016.

However, Paxson is still using Rose's knee injuries as the reason the Bulls are in the rebuild stage, and it's quite embarrassing. The Rose injuries aren't the reason Paxson and GM Gar Forman still have jobs and Jim Boylen is the coach.

This is just another example of Paxson trying to take blame off his shoulders, but it's not going to work, as Bulls fans are obviously sick and tired of Paxson and Forman and have been calling for their jobs for years.
