Free agent forward Kevon Looney has gained a significant amount of interest from several teams which are trying to improve their rosters in free agency. According to reports, the Chicago Bulls have been granted an opportunity to meet with the 23-year-old forward.

Looney already has scheduled meetings with the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets in L.A., and the Bulls are the third team in the sweepstakes. It is expected that more teams will try to take their chances on him within the next 24 hours.

Throughout the course of his four-year career in the NBA, Looney has shown significant improvement in terms of his production. He averaged 6.2 points and 5.2 rebounds last season for the Warriors; he provided quality minutes off the bench. He also started a couple of games for them in the playoffs, and his performances were also solid.

The Warriors are interested in bringing him back, especially since they are expected to be depleted next season. Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson are both unrestricted free agents and could leave the team to play elsewhere. However, even if Golden State will be able to re-sign both, they are set to miss the entire 2019-20 season, or at least most of it. Bringing the energetic Looney back will be good for the Dubs.

Other factors could eventually play a key role in Looney's decision. If one of his suitors will be willing to offer him more money than the Warriors, he could end up being with that team. Also, if another team can promise him a starting spot, that's something that Kevon might find hard to resist.

The Bulls can do both, especially since they are solely focused on rebuilding their team. Adding Looney to that squad will definitely help them improve heading into next season.
