There wasn’t much reason to be positive in Chicago at the start of December. The Bulls went on a gruesome 10-game losing skid and were dead-last in the entire league standings at just 3-20. However, the return of Nikola Mirotic immediately sparked the team to seven-game win streak and a 9-2 record with him in the lineup.

But more than just Mirotic’s return, Kris Dunn credits their remarkable run to both Mirotic and Bobby Portis. Dunn believes they brought the positivity back to the team with how they were able to put their differences aside on the court.

“They hashed it out,” Dunn said per ESPN's Nick Friedell. “They brought that positivity back into the team. They're playing well off each other. They're playing unbelievable basketball. … It's special for the team to see. We're proud to have them both back.”

It was a mystery how the two would get along playing alongside one another following the infamous incident which saw Portis punch Mirotic in the face. However, it’s gone so much better than anyone could’ve imagined.

It is a testament to the two players’ professionalism that they’ve been able to co-exist so well on the court. They should be lauded for how well they've handled such a delicate situation, and because of that, they also deserve a lot of credit for helping turn the Bulls' season around.
