Chicago Bulls second-year stretch forward Lauri Markkanen scored 32 points Friday night against the Orlando Magic in the Bulls' 90-80 win and the 21-year-old says his versatility is a big reason why he's having success in the NBA.

Lauri Markkanen shot 12-of-20 from the field and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc in 37 minutes of action, including a monster poster dunk over Magic big man Nikola Vucevic.

With Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine out with a left ankle injury, Chicago's offense will run primarily through Markkanen and he's ready for the challenge.

“I think I can do multiple things, so take one thing away from me I can do other stuff,” Markkanen said, via ESPN. “I think we did a good job of recognizing their coverages, using that to our advantage.”

Friday was Lauri Markkanen's 10th game of the season. The seventh overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft missed the first 23 games of the year recovering from a right elbow injury which he suffered in training camp. Nicknamed “The Finnisher,” Markkanen is starting to get his rhythm back and it's a good sign for the Bulls, who are now 8-25 on the year.

Markkanen's ability to put the ball on the floor and create his own shot off the dribble is a big reason why he's able to score in different ways. He's quick on his feet for a 7-footer. The Bulls definitely got a good player in Chicago to build around for years to come.
