Although the Chicago Bulls remain one of the three winless teams this season, there’s still some good news for them despite their lack of success in the standings. One of them is the solid play of their rookie, Lauri Markkanen, especially with knocking down shots from distance.

On Tuesday, they faced off against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and are looking to upset the defending champions. The 20-year-old Finnish international is once again leading their charge and has already made his mark in the record books following this fifth 3-pointer of the night. He is now the only player in NBA history to make 10 from beyond the arc in the first three games of his career.

After obtaining his rights from the Minnesota Timberwolves as part of the Jimmy Butler trade, many already thought that he could be the Bulls’ next franchise player. With the team currently in rebuild mode, and how they have embraced the youth movement, Markkanen could be in line for a big rookie season. He is expected to receive a lot of playing time from head coach Fred Hoiberg, as they think highly of him, and want him to gain a lot of experience in his rookie year as well.

The Bulls may be 0-3 to start the campaign, but if Markkanen continues his strong play, it might not take them long to earn their first victory. With his double-double average so far of 15 points and 10 rebounds, the Arizona product definitely makes their goal of winning much easier, and may even surprise many if the Bulls can string a few wins together, with Markkanen leading the way.
